Why San Diego Homes Attract Earwigs
Earwigs are moisture-dependent insects. They congregate where humidity is high — under mulch, in leaf litter, beneath potted plants, and anywhere damp organic matter accumulates near your foundation. When San Diego’s coastal fog increases ambient moisture levels, or when irrigation is heavy, earwig populations surge.
They enter homes through:
